Gastech Australia has modern, well equipped service departments to provide full maintenance of your gas detectors. We offer a complete calibration and repair service. It is important that your instruments receive regular maintenance, service and calibration to ensure they are operating correctly, producing accurate and reliable results. At GasTech we don’t only service our own detectors we also service many other manufactures detectors where customers have been sold instruments and the back up support was not what was expected.

Our experienced service technicians ensure that products are repaired and calibrated to manufacturers specifications in accordance with relevant Australian Standards. All instruments are checked for performance and a detailed ‘Calibration Certificate’ is provided which has become the industry standard. Where additional repairs are required, a quote is submitted for approval.

Our workshops in Perth and in Sydney have a comprehensive range of NATA certified calibration gases on hand to calibrate almost every type of gas detector. A unique advantage our service department has is the ability to generate our own calibration gases on demand, to overcome the inaccuracies of reactive toxic gases supplied in cylinders, some of the gases we generate using permeation methods are Ammonia, Hydrogen Cyanide, Sulfur Dioxide and Chlorine, and all of Gastech calibration gasses are NATA certified. This ensures accurate calibration of your gas detector which is what you are paying for, we don’t use nominal disposable calibration gases for  general calibrations. During the calibration process we use individual gases as well as multiple gas blends to adjust for any cross interference factors in the instruments. This process is something that the Automatic calibration docking stations can not perform.

We strive to offer the fastest turnaround for servicing and repairs of instruments sent in. To do this we hold one of Australia’s largest stock of spare parts for all the instruments we supply as well as an extensive stock of many different makes and manufactures of instruments service parts. Our major suppliers are linked into our computer systems and stock control systems where they can manage our stock levels to the service department to continue to run efficiently and supply our customers the fastest turnaround possible.

In addition we offer full Technical Support for the equipment we manufacture and sell.

GasTech has a unique in house designed data base system which tracks each and every unit we service, including all the parts and sensor cells we might fit during the service. All of this information is readily available to customers wanting to manage their instruments. Future updates to our system will allow customer to be notified when instruments are due for calibration as well as updates on current jobs together with being able to retrieve current and past service reports 24 hours a day. This service is designed to assist the customer manage their fleet of detectors with minimal cost. Our Systems are regularly audited by BVQI, RAN, and TestSafe Australia, to comply with Australian, Navy, and international standards.

There are no hidden costs, we work on an up front honest system which is clear to the customer. We have one price for a service and calibration and this includes all your cost, so you know what you are getting. Our process is simple, all jobs are quoted and approved prior to completing. Instruments that are beyond economical repair, the customer is notified and options are given to keep costs at a minimum.
